Covid-19 has continued to a new year with us from 2020 to 2021. Although our lifestyles have all taken an impact from the pandemic, the main necessities in life remain the same and that includes eating. The virus has definitely changed our normal way of finding food each day, to more home cooking and take-aways. Here are the 3 food trends in 2021 that has taken an influence from the changes we have faced.
Flexitarian Diet
As more people want to make the switch to meat alternatives, it is not always as easy as we make it sound. Flexitarian diet eating is the new trend where meat is treated as a special occasion. You can reserve meat as once a week or once a month. It is a good start towards the goal you want, no matter if it’s to avoid meat, a healthier alternative or towards meals concerning the environment.
Protein from Plant-based food.
The trends continue as more plant-based meat product continue in development. There are products customers swear they “taste just like meat”. Restaurants are also supporting the trend with meat dishes that are not actually meat. As protein is a big part of our daily meals, finding other choices such as plant-based meat may be the perfect choice.

Home made food is always the best as you get to choose your own ingredients and can take care of the cleanliness of your food. If you work at home, after eliminating traffic time there is no excuse to eat instant noodles or granola bars.
