Foreign couple’s trike ride lauded online
PHOTOS of a foreign couple traveling on a humble saleng, or tricycle, in Phuket won praise for both the Thai driver and the young couple on Thai social media today (Jan. 4), the Thai language daily Matichon reported.
Three images and a video clip of the foreign couple who hailed the trike in Rawai and were heading for Chalong intersection and then onto Phuket town were shared by Facebook user “Lek Monthon.”
Some netizens praised the trike driver for helping out and showing and how kind Thai people are, but others praised the foreign couple for being friendly and not choosy about what vehicle to travel in, with this humble trike laden with other things too.
