20 injured as tour coach plunges down a ravine
A TOUR coach plunged 50 meters down a ravine in central Phetchabun province this morning (Oct 7, 2018) injuring 20 of 53 passengers, Thai News Agency reported.
The accident occurred at 10.58 a.m. after the tour coach scraped a private pickup truck and careened down the ravine.
Officials from the Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in this province told Sanook! News that among those injured are some who cannot move.
Rescuers and emergency units from 3 hospitals, Wichien Buri and Bung Sam Phan and Phakdi Chumphon, are working hard at bringing all the passengers up to the road after which the injured are being taken to the hospitals for treatment.
