Cave reporter slaps restaurant waitress
A THAI television station news editor had to fly from Bangkok to Chiang Rai to resolve a fight between his reporter, who is covering the ongoing rescue of young soccer players and their coach from Tham Luang cave, and a waitress he slapped at a nearby restaurant, Sanook.com reported this morning (July 10, 2018).
The incident was mentioned on the Facebook page of a Mae Sai district resident and the post quickly spread online but it was taken down a little later.
According to the deleted post, the rumpus occurred at this restaurant on Saturday July 7, 2018 after the television crew came in to have some fun and all got drunk. After that one of them slapped the waitress, who could not come to work for 2 days.
However the post said the news editor had sorted out the problem and both the waitress and the restaurateur were no longer displeased nor were they going to take any action over this incident.
