Chiang Mai city badly flooded after heavy rain
TORRENTIAL rain in Chiang Mai municipality area led to the flooding of many roads with floodwater being 30-50 centimeters high and difficult for small cars to pass through, Thai News Agency said today (May 26).
Si Ping Muang Municipal School was closed for the day because the compound was flooded but municipality officials are quickly draining out the floodwater into canals.
However the heavily overcast sky over Chiang Mai means the situation has to be closely followed.
