Elderly woman found dead in her bedroom
A 78-year-old woman in the northeastern province of Roi-et was found dead in her bedroom last night (March 25, 2021), apparently by a thief who broke into her bedroom.
A police detective who arrived at the scene said the woman died of serious injuries in the head.
The woman’s 68-year-old brother said his elder sister has been living alone after her husband and son passed away.
“I have visited her from time to time,” said the brother.
“My sister always keeps cash in her handbag but there was no money when I opened it,” he said.
“The thief apparently took the cash after killing her.”
