Father spends 600K donation money on alcohol, hits wife, attempted rape.
A sad story has taken place after a video of a little girl asking for soup from a restaurant went viral. The video captured a small girl asking for free soup stating it was for her family of 5 to eat with rice. The video went viral and netizens wanted to help and raised over 600,000 THB. Truth has been revealed that the father has been spending the money on alcohol, has been hurting his wife, and attempted to rape a neighbor. The girl is 6 years old and regularly asks for free soup from a local restaurant. When asked who told her to come ask for the soup the girl stated her mother.
The Khaosod News Team visited the home on 31 March 2022. The team found a home that looked like a small shed with hardly any furniture inside. Sanit 38 years old the mother of A 6 years old studying in grade 1 at the Nong Tamlung Temple School. A stated she goes to ask for free soup almost everyday. This is their daily meal of soup and rice for the family of 5. Sanit the mother revealed the father works and earns 500 THB a day but he doesn’t work everyday. During the past few months there has been no work at all. The family often asks for money from others and lives on the free soup.
Sukon Sawansaksin the Chonburi City District Chief and related officials went to visit the family on 1 April 2022. Officials gave the family food and water. The family received 632,338 THB from kind netizens. The mother stated her husband regularly harms her. Police have arrested Pornprom, the father who was heavily intoxicated. B a neighbor stated Pornprom has attempted to rape her but she managed to fight him and get help. Officials will now step in to help manage the funds so it can be used for the right purpose. The remaining funds will be used for daily spending and education funds for the 3 children in the family.
