Five-year-old boy hit by teacher for slow math calculation
The mother of a kindergarten school boy has filed charges against a math teacher who hit her 5-year-old boy with a ruler in the face and the back for his slow calculation of mathematics.
A police officer has invited the boy’s mother and the math teacher to negotiate the issue, the Thai-language Daily News reported yesterday (April 3, 2021).
The teacher offered to pay 10,000 baht, but the boy’s mother refused to accept the offer. The mother said her boy is now afraid to go to school.
“I have asked a police officer to take serious action on this case, or let the Office of the Education Region 1 to take disciplinary action against the teacher.”
