Fourteen provinces in lockdown against COVID-19
Fourteen governors yesterday (April 9, 2020) declared total lockdowns of their provinces to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
Exemptions are made for personnel in charge of medical care, transportation of necessary goods for consumption, and those who receive permissions from officials in charge of containing contagious diseases.
Below are the periods in which the above exemptions apply.
Chiang Rai — 9-30 April 2020
Tak — 2-16 April 2020
Nan – 5-17 April 2020
Phrae – 10-17 April 2020
Trat – from 4 April onwards
Bung Karn – 7-30 April 2020
Phuket – 30 March- 30 April 2020
Songkhla – 6-30 April 2020
Satun – 3-30 April 2020
Pattani – from 28 March 2020 onwards
Yala – from 29 March 2020 onwards
Narathiwat – from 29 March 2020 onwards
Pattaya City – from 9 April 2020 onwards
Ranong – from 6 April 2020 onwards
