Home-sick inmate rides garbage truck home
A home-sick inmate jumped into the back of a garbage truck as it was leaving Yasothon Provincial Prison last Sunday night to meet his family, the Thai-language Daily News reported today (Nov. 24).
The 39-year-old man is serving a four-year sentence for drug trafficking. He jumped into the back of the truck as it was leaving the prison.
After staying with his family for four days, he asked his father to contact prison wardens, who came to pick him up at his home on Thursday night (Nov. 23).
“I am sorry for causing the trouble,” he told the wardens. “But I missed my family so much.”
