Increase in airport taxi surcharge
A meeting between Transport Minister Saksiam Chidchob and taxi drivers (7 August 2019) agreed to increase the ordinary airport metered taxi surcharge from 50 baht to 70 baht, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
For a large limousine, the new surcharge will go up from 70 baht to 90 baht.
A passenger with a luggage more than 26 inches long will have to pay an extra 20 baht.
The Land Transport Department will co-ordinate with the Thai Airport Company in implementing the new regulation.
