Mahachai-Wongwian Yai rail route is now open
After a three-month shutdown over the spread of Covid-19, the Mahachai-Wongwian Yai and Banlaem-Maeklong rail routes are open for passengers today (March 26, 20210).
The number of passengers is not as high as before because many of them do not know that the rail service is now back to normal, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
Apart from the normal clean-up service, there are temperature checkpoints for passengers, who must register their names. All passengers must wear face masks while on the train.
Passengers interviewed by the Thai-language daily Khao Sod said they are happy that the rail service is back to normal.
