Missing American man found on Koh Lipe island
A TEAM of policemen, soldiers and Tarutao National Marine Park officials mounted a big search on Koh Lipe island off southern Satun province for a missing young American man and later found him in a weak condition sheltering under some rocks, Sanook.com reported today (Oct 25, 2018).
Pol Col Niphon Haemsalamard, deputy of head of Satun province police, raised the team to search for Mr Charles Kolsader (name translated as written in Thai), 39, after he disappeared on this island on the night October 22-23.
The search party was eventually tipped off by some local people that a person of the same description was seen on Sunset beach. They finally found him by some rocks with a cuts on his body and took him to the island’s medical center for treatment.
The missing tourist’s 3 American friends who were traveling with him were overjoyed that he had been found and thanked the Thai team for mounting the search.
The American man said he got tired of traveling and had problems with his girlfriend so just wanted to be alone. He is going to continue staying on Koh Lipe island with his friends till November 4 and promised not to cause any more trouble.
