Narathiwat set for tourism promotion
The southernmost Thai province of Narathiwat has set a new campaign to promote tourism with an emphasis on cultural and adventure tourism, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported today (Nov 27, 2018).
In an in interview with the paper, Governor Ekkarat Leesern said Narathiwat has a unique culture and natural attractions. Batik cloth made in this province is already well-known among Thai and foreign visitors.
Verdant forests have attracted visitors who enjoy trekking.
“With a better organization and public relations campaign, we hope to attract more local and foreign tourists,” he added.
