‘You are never too old to learn’
THE above motto was exactly what Mrs Sataporn Promsri had in mind when she applied to study for a Bachelor’s degree in community development at the Liberal Arts Faculty of Ratchabhat Chiang Mai University in 2013.
Four years have passed, and the 84-year-old grandma is celebrating her graduation with family members and classmates, all of whom are as young as her nieces and nephews, Sanook.com reported today (May 26).
Mrs Sataporn said she never missed a lecture, and finished the program with a GPA of 2.4. She received two As in music and fundamental business development.
She got no education when she was young. She raised her three children by herself after her husband passed away. All her three children finished Master’s degrees.
