Never too old to marry
ALL residents of Village Group 1 in Muang District of Kalasin Province turned out in unison this morning (Dec. 24) to celebrate the marriage of an elderly couple, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
Accompanied by drummers and dancers, Mr Nark Preewassana, 84, presented a gold necklace and 100,999 baht in cash to his 65-year-old bride, Miss Pramorn Chaisit, amid loud cheers from friends and relatives.
“Love has no boundaries,” Mr Nark told a local reporter who came to witness the joyous event. “This is the most beautiful day for both of us.”
