New candidate for Democrat leader
THE race for the Democrat Party’s leadership intensified today (Sept 30, 2018) when another senior party member threw his hat in the ring, the Thai-languag daily Matichon reported.
In an interview with the paper, Dr Warong Dejkitvikrom said his main objective is to raise the living standards of rubber and rice farmers in the country.
“I have already mapped a 10-year plan to better the lives of millions of farmers in our country,” he said.
All debts incurred by the famers will be cleared in the first four years. With no debt, the farmers will earn more income to improve their quality of life, he added.
