PM Prayut keeps mum about rift in cabinet
PRME Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha kept silent today (Feb. 13) when asked whether there is a rift in the Cabinet as Education Minister Thirakiat Charoensetthasilp took a swipe at Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan over the luxury watches he has been seen wearing, Thai News Agency reported.
General Prayut merely told reporters that Thirakiat should explain what he meant when he criticized General Prawit for not taking responsibility over some 25 luxury watches he has been spotted wearing,
Meanwhile General Prawit also refused to comment on this criticism this morning and just strode into the Government House.
However yesterday General Prawit did tell reporters that former prime ministers Thaksin Shinawatra and Yingluck Shinawatra are now in Japan after showing up in Beijing, China, last week.
He added that he has told officials to follow up according to the law.
