‘Polite robber’ asks for 1,000 baht

A mild-mannered robber yesterday afternoon (Dec 20, 2018) entered a convenience store in the northeastern Thai province of Udon Thani and politely asked the male attendant for cash, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.

Wearing a helmet with a knife in his hand, the robber said to the young attendant: “May I borrow 1,000 baht. I will return it as soon as possible.”

After getting the cash, the robber thanked the store attendant with a wai (clasping his palms) and fled on motorcycle with another robber.
