Popular Thai-made rubber pillows
Pillows and other items made from para-rubber are the highlight of this year’s “Rubber Fair” in the northeastern Thai province of Bungkarn, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported yesterday (December 17, 2017).
It is the first time that rubber pillows and beds made by Srikaew Rubbertech Company are put on display on the big lawn in front of the Provincial Administrative Office.
Srikaew Rubbertech managing director Tanawanich Chaichana said all items are hand-made by local community members, who have their own plots of rubber trees.
Eighty percent of the products are exported to foreign countries, with China being the biggest buyer, followed by Russia.
