Strict measures for people travelling through Korat
Korat Governor Wichian Chantaranothai today (May 2, 2020) announced strict measures that people traveling into the northeastern province must follow to stop the spread of COVID-19 virus, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
These measures are:
1. Travelers from the outer areas of Korat must inform local village health volunteers within 24 hours after they have checked into their rooms.
2. Travelers from Bangkok, Phuket, Nonthaburi, Yala, Samut Prakan, Chon Buri, Pattani, Songkhla, Chiang Mai and Pathum Thani will be quarantined in their rooms for 14 days after their arrival.
3. Travelers from other provinces will be checked by local health officials. They will be quarantined if the officials sign an order to do so.
