TAT promotes responsible tourism
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will promote “responsible tourism” among Thai and foreign tourists in the country next year, TAT governor Yutthasak Suppasorn said in an interview with the Thai-language daily Thai Rath today (Oct 22, 2018).
Tourism operators and other groups involved with this sector will talk with the TAT to come up with a consensus on how to protect natural resources, with a win-win outcome for all parties concerned.
Mr Yutthasak and TAT officials will visit tourist sites around Similan Isllands after the National Park Department limited the number of daily tourists in the area to 3,325 a day.
