Thai military, politicians set for talks
THE Thai Defense Ministry will invite political parties for discussion on how to bring about peace and reconciliation in Thailand.
Addressing a press conference today (March 3), Defense Ministry spokesman Maj-Gen Kongcheep Tantrawanich said the first meeting will be held on Monday March 6, with the participation of Bhumjaithai and Paradonparp parties.
The second meeting on March 7 will be participated by Palang Prathetthai, People’s Power, Prachasanti and Social Democratic parties.
The meeting with Puea Thai Party on March 8 will focus on national reconciliation, according to Matichon newspaper.
Meetings on political reconciliation had already been held in several provinces, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket and Buri Ram, with the participation of representatives from the mass media.
