Traffic Ladies training launched
NORTHEASTERN Nakhon Ratchasima province, also known Korat, has come up with a good idea to train up policewomen to handle the traffic in front of schools in the mornings, INN News reported today (Nov. 18).
Pol. Maj. Gen. Watcharin Boonkong, acting head of Nakhon Ratchasima police, presided over the opening of a training course under the project “Traffic Ladies” which is participated by 113 policewomen from all 51 police stations in the province.
He said he got this idea after getting a directive from the National Police headquarters to improve traffic and brush up the image of the police by raising the standard of service so that the public is pleased with the work the police do.
Improving police image includes have a good personality, smiling and friendly demeanor, good manners, being attentive and enthusiastic in serving the pubic but above facilitating the traffic flow and preventing accidents.
Nakhon Ratchasima police therefore arranged the Traffic Ladies project with these policewomen to handle the traffic outside schools in the mornings.
