Villagers living with unpaved road for more than 40 years

Ten families in Village Group 6 in Tambon Toongkamin of Namon District in the southern Thai province of Songkhla sent a complaint to local media yesterday (Feb 26, 2021) that they have been living with an unpaved road for more than 40 years.

Village leader Purim Roongruang said the 10 families have had to endure the problem as local officials have ignored their request to pave the road.

“Even though we are a tiny group of people, we are all Thais,” said Purim.

“Other village roads have been paved, but the local officials concerned have ignored our problem for a very long time.

“This is very unfair to us.”
