Woman killed by wild elephant in rubber plantation
Chon Buri provincial police have issued a warning for people tapping rubber in Village Group 3 of Borthong District in Chon Buri Province.
The warning follows the death of a 54-year-old woman who was trampled to death by a wild elephant, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported yesterday (Nov 12, 2020).
The woman’s husband said he and his wife went to tap rubber at 3 a.m. About 5.50 a.m. he heard a loud noise and saw an elephant tramping his wife.
He ran for help, but his wife was already dead when a local doctor arrived.
