Four-day gadget event kicks off
September 29, 2017 – The country’s most popular four-day mobile devices and gadget event for consumers ‘Thailand Mobile Expo 2017’ has once again just started for the third (and last) time of the year and still finds itself packed with people who even fought through heavy Bangkok evening rain and traffic to get there.
The event takes place at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) from Thursday, September 28 through Sunday, October 1 and is easily reachable by the MRT subway. It is popular among those who look for active, fast-pace, fresh-market-like kind of shopping and bargaining atmosphere.
Visitors will find themselves drowning in all sort of special deals from vendors, dealers and operators including and not limited to bundles, discounts, zero interest installments, etc. The promotions war is known to have heated up the most on Sunday which is usually the last day of the event. Some of the latest smartphones are so expensive they are being bundled with suitcase or large LCD screen TV.
All mobile device brands and operators including related equipment and accessories would take this opportunity to make their presence felt and try to get more brand exposure and sales. No doubt the visitors would literally get to see and try more smartphone and related products than they could ever think of and even some more they didn’t know existed.
One of the high-tech gadgets that is offering more in brands, features and prices comprises of a variety of wearables such as health and fitness bands (or smart bands) to be worn on your wrists or smart watches depending on shape, form, and number of functions they offer.
The common features of these wristbands are for instance, step-count, sleep length and quality, calories burnt, distance traveled and heart rate BPM (Beats per Minute). However, it is the first time to see some of this these brands (mostly Chinese or Taiwanese) offering significant new features such as blood pressure and even ECG (Electrocardiogram) measurement which might be worthwhile to check out.
Apart from mobile phones related goods, to see some of the not-so-directly-related goods that pop up here and there in between smartphone booths can be entertaining. They range from simple CCTV systems, souvenirs and premium making machines, window cleaning robot (think Spiderman), to even home appliances Singer company.
Please note that there is the additional whole lowest floor reserved for none-related other goods (personal apparels, cosmetics, home appliances and what not)
