British drug suspect held in Pattaya
A 31-year-old Briton wanted for extradition on drug charges has been caught in the Thai beach city of Pattaya, the Thai-language daily Kom Chad Luek reported yesterday (Nov 2, 2019).
Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police arrested Mr. Mark Rumble at a house in Bang Lamung District yesterday after the British Embassy in Bangkok asked the Thai Foreign Ministry to help track down Mr. Rumble, a suspected drug trafficker involved in many narcotics offences in his country.
According to the CSD, the suspect entered Thailand on Oct 11, 2019 and was allowed to stay until Nov 9. They then tracked the suspect down to the house in Pattaya.
Police pressed charges against him based on the arrest warrant before sending him to the Criminal Court for further action.
