Cables catch fire at key intersection during rush hour

BOTH communication and electricity cables at Asoke-Phetchaburi intersection at caught fire at around 7.30 a.m. this morning (June 15, 2018) with traffic snarl-ups ensuring after traffic lights on all sides were cut off, Sanook.com reported.

Police had to temporarily use hand signals to direct the traffic and drivers are urged to carefully go through this area of Bangkok where the traffic is heavily congested.

Police are doing their best to quickly resolve problems and have managed to control the blaze near the entrance to the Petchaburi subway station.
