Ex-deputy police chief Salang commits suicide
Former National Deputy Police Commander-in-Chief Salang Boonnag committed suicide in a department store in Nonthaburi province, adjoining Bangkok, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported this afternoon (Feb 25, 2018).
A CCTV camera showed that Pol Gen Salang climbed over a waist-high glass panel on the 7th floor of the store, and threw himself down.
Police found a note on his body, asking his children and friends to campaign against the proposed elevated dual-track sky train in Bangkok, and push for the construction of “Autobahn.”
“Please spread my word. I have counted from 1 to 1,000 and believe this is a beneficial way.”
