Russian tourist slashes her throat in shop
A 41-year-old Russian tourist is recuperating in hospital after slashing her throat in a convenience store on Patong beach in Phuket last night, Sanook.com reported today (April 7).
Eyewitnesses said the tourist pulled out a knife and repeatedly slashed her throat in front of a refrigerator. She was rushed to hospital, where doctors said she is recovering well.
Fellow tourists said the woman never talked to anyone in the hotel. Doctors believe she has a mental problem, and will send her to specialists at Saranrom Hospital in Surat Thani Province on Monday.
