People pack bridge on HM the late King’s birth anniversary
LOTS of people traveled to join the “In Remembrance of HM the late King’s Benevolence December 5, 2016″ event on Bhumibol Bridge 1 which Tourism Authority of Thailand together with other government agencies had arranged to mark His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birth anniversary today, Thai News Agency said.
This event is also in remembrance of His Majesty the late King’s kindness and the importance he placed on resolving the public’s problems,such as transportation and floods, having initiated the Klong Lad Pho floodgate.
At this event alms were offered to 999 monks and the public also sang the Royal Anthem and Royal Composition “Kwam Fun Un Sueng Sud” after which everyone stood silently for 89 minutes dedicated to His late Majesty’s remembrance. Later there was writing down of pledges to do good for the Father of the Nation.
