Chvrches to debut here in September
THE Scottish synth-pop band Chvrches (pronounced churches) is finally coming to Bangkok for their long-awaited debut on September 3, 2016 at Bitec, Bangna. They will be part of Tiger Jams’ “Center Stage” event with other local bands such as Polycat, Somkiat and Jelly Rocket joining in. New talents such as Monkey Business, Mirr and 23’O will also be rocking the crowd.
This band, formed in Glasgow in 2011 and consisting of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, released their debut studio album, The Bones of What You Believe, in September 2013 and on the back of its success two years later released a second one, Every Open Eye, with this too being well received by critics.
The name of the band came out of interest within the members, and does not relate or indicate any religious views, Wikipedia.com said
Tickets are available at Allticketthailand.com with there being 500 available at 700 baht each and the rest sold at 1,000 baht. The price at the venue is 1,500 baht.
