Traffic snarls as workers head home
Traffic congestion has hit major highways around the country since early this morning (Dec 28, 2018) as hundreds of thousands of workers headed home from Bangkok for the long New Year holiday, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
There were several traffic accidents on Asian Highway No.32, in Nakhon Sawan province, where motorists divert to other main highways in the North and Northeast.
The Highway Department has set up several pit-stops for motorists who need a short rest.
