Cock-fighting gamblers fined for violating Emergency Decree
Eleven cock-fighting gamblers in the central Thai province of Ayutthaya were fined 6,000 baht each for violating the Emergency Decree on the prevention of the spread of Covid-19, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported today (Jan 11, 2020).
Ayutthaya provincial police arrested the gamblers on Jan 4 and the Provincial Court fined each of them 6,000 baht and imposed 15-day imprisonment on each of them.
The court later stayed the imprisonment for one year.
