Delicious Japanese ebi at Elements
To enjoy shrimp flown in from Japan and cooked to perfection in the French style head to The Okura Prestige’s Elements restaurant this month.
The Japanese call shrimp ‘ebi’, and they are the key ingredient in a variety of delicious tempura, sushi, and sashimi creations.
However this time round Executive Chef Antony Scholtmeyer and his team at Elements combine French culinary know-how and the best seasonal shrimp Japan has to offer to create a menu of wonderfully fresh summer dishes.
These include a tartare with pale pink Sakura ebi – known as the ‘spring season shrimp’ in Japan because it is only available at that time of year served with smoked potato ice cream and fresh wasabi.
Another favorite for beating the summer heat is chilled ebi with potato salad, leek jelly and Bayonne ham.
The Japanese ebi menu is available at Elements every Tuesday to Saturday during July 1 – 29 from 6 pm – 10:30 pm with prices starting from 670++ baht.
