11 new Covid-19 cases all from abroad.

There are 11 new Covid-19 cases in Thailand, all patients are Thais returning from abroad. The total number of Covid-19 cases in Thailand is 3,065, out of this number 2,945 have recovered and returned home. Taweesilp Wisanuyothin. M.D., the Covid-19 spokesperson reported on 28 May 2020 the current Covid-19 situation in Thailand. The country is currently at no.77 in the world with 57 deaths from Covid-19. There are 11 latest cases, all Thai citizens who have returned to the country after working or living abroad.

The 1st case is a 32-year-old woman returning from India after visiting the country. She arrived in Thailand on 22 May and has been in quarantine at the State Quarantine Center in Samut Prakan. The woman tested positive for Coronavirus on 25 May and is showing no symptoms.

 

A total of 6 cases are Thais returning from Qatar. 5 are masseurs and a maid, all arrived in Thailand on 22 May, and have been in quarantine at the State Quarantine in Bangkok. The group was confirmed to have the virus on 26 May. Out of the 5 masseurs, A 27-year-old male had a loss of taste sensation on 22 May, a 31-year-old male started having aches in his body along with no sense of smell on 25 May, a 30-year-old male started having sore throat on 20 May, a 27-year-old male showed no symptoms, a 31-year-old male showed no symptoms, and a 52-year-old male showed no symptoms.

 

A total of 4 cases returned to Thailand from Kuwait. The 4 men arrived in Thailand on 24 May and have been in quarantine at the State Quarantine enter in Bangkok. On 26 May they were all confirmed to have the Coronavirus. The 1st patient from this group is a 39-year-old who started losing his sense of smell along with a headache on 20 May. The 2nd patient is 47 years old and started having headaches on 26 May. The 3rd patient is 51 years old with a runny nose on 26 May, and the 4th patient is a 44-year-old who developed a fever on 26 May.

There are also more Thais returning from abroad on 28 and 29 May 2020. On the 28th, 250 Thais are returning from Australia, 100 from the USA, and 40 from Vietnam. On the 29th, 217 are returning from Turkey and Georgia, 27 returning from France, 35 from Singapore, 65 from Myanmar, and 55 from South Korea. They will all go into quarantine at the state quarantine centers.
