15 new COVID-19 cases in Thailand from Egypt-Saudi Arabia-Japan

There are 15 latest Covid-19 cases in Thailand on 7 August 2020. Taweesilp Visanuyothin the spokesman from the Centre for Covid-19 Administration reported the current COVID situation in Thailand. All new cases are Thais returning from abroad into the Kingdom and were confirmed positive while in state quarantine. Thailand currently has had a total of 3,345 cases and out of the number 3,148 has made a total recovery from the virus. There are currently 139 cases still under medical care and death number remains at 58 deaths. 

Here are the details of the 15 new cases discovered while in state quarantine centers. The first 4 cases are Thais returning from Egypt. Men aged 22, 23, 26, and 28 arrived in Thailand on 24 July 2020. They arrived in Thailand on the same flight of the previous 5 COVID cases returned from Egypt. All 4 were confirmed positive while in state quarantine in Chonburi Province on 5 August 2020. 

 

The next 10 cases are all Thais returning from Saudi Arabia. The next 10 new cases are men aged between 24-28 years old and 43 years old who worked as a factory worker in Saudi Arabia. The group arrived in Thailand on 25 July 2020 and were on the same flight as the previous 2 confirmed positive after returning from Saudi Arabia. The group stayed at the Chonburi Quarantine Center and was confirmed positive after receiving a test on 5 August 2020. 

 

The last case is a 29-year-old man returning from Japan. The patient arrived in Thailand on 31 July 2020 and stayed in the state quarantine center in Samut Prakan Province. He was confirmed positive after receiving a COVID test on 5 August 2020. The patient showed no symptoms while at the quarantine center and is now under medical care on the way to a full recovery.
