7-year-old boy alone after all family members test positive for Covid-19.
A 7-year-old boy is home alone after all family members tested positive for Covid-19. There are 8 other members who live in the same home but are now all hospitalized. Bass the boy is the only one in the family who has tested negative for the virus. The local rescue team known as RX PSU and other related officials went to visit the home in Nonthaburi Province. The team discovered that there are normally 9 persons living at the home. But all have tested positive except for Bass. He recently received another test and the results are still negative. Noi who is Bass’s grandmother, has asked for help as she fears Bass will also get Covid-19.
On 17 August 2021 at 16.00 the health officials picked up Mel 12 year old and Tee 17 year old from the home. Both have tested positive and are now receiving medical care at the field hospital. All other family members are also receiving medical care and as a result Bass is now home alone. Officials have asked neighbors next door to help take care of the boy. The rescue team visited Bass today to make sure he is safe and well along with giving him another Covid-19 test. Thankfully it is still negative and the boy is feeling normal.
Bass thanked all the members and stated “Thankyou to all the officers for helping me. I do not have Covid-19 and I can live alone just fine”. The neighbors promise to help take care of the boy while other family members are on their way to recovery at the field hospital. There are 20,515 new cases today bringing the total number of cases to 968,957. 22,682 cases have made a full recovery today bringing the total number of cases who have made a full recovery to 753,119. A total of 207,553 are receiving medical care, the number has decreased by 2,479 from yesterday. There are 312 new deaths today bringing the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 to 8,285 deaths.
