On par with your golfing skills
WHILE Phuket is known for its gorgeous beaches, it is also a true paradise for golfers, who come from all around the world to enjoy the perfect scenery. Phuket counts a total of eight golf courses, located in different location, so you never have to travel too far to find a place to practice.
We have selected four of them that we think are worth a visit during your next trip to Phuket.
Red Mountain Golf Club
Located in the heart of Phuket, in Kathu, this course opened its door in 2007 and comprises 18 holes for a par 72. Easily accessible, it was named that way because of the small rocky mountains you can see along the way, especially from Hole 1. The clubhouse also offers a restaurant and a shop, where you can buy golf-related accessories and clubs.
Laguna Phuket Golf Club
This club is located within the Laguna complex of hotels and residences in the Cherng Talay area of Phuket. This 18-hole, par 71 is completed with bunkers and several water ponds along the way. Being located in Laguna, you get easy access to plenty of restaurants, bars and hotels to accommodate your stay.
Mission Hills Golf Club
This time, we travel to the eastern area of Phuket, known as Pak Lok, where you can find the Mission Hills Golf Club. Being located next to the sea, you will enjoy gorgeous scenery while competing on this 18-hole course. The Mission Hills Phuket Golf Resort is located a few steps away, allowing to rest between each game.
Phunaka Golf Course
Smaller than its competitors, the Phunaka Golf Course is a 9-hole course located in Chalong, south of the island, and offers a good alternative if you are located in this part of Phuket. It also offers classes to learn how to play golf and would be a great first try for beginners.
Have you ever played golf in Phuket? If so, which course did you choose? Let us know in the comment section.
