Officials inspected a home in Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province and found 1.5 Million Yaba pills, this is not the Yaba we are used to seeing in Thailand and is a new improved version that delivers wanted effects faster than ever. Police Lieutenant General Visanu Prasatthongosot the Assistant Commissioner-General and Police Lieutenant General Chinapat Sarasin searched house no.107/1 at a local village in Bang Rak Pattana Sub-district at 01.30 on 17 August 2020.
Investigation revealed information that this specific home has drugs hidden inside. Officials also found other drugs in the home including 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine and 3 kilograms of marijuana. Evidence connected to the drugs includes a blender, a plastic bag sealing machine, a digital scale, a Honda City car, and a Toyota Fortuner car, the vehicles used to deliver and move the drugs.
Theerapong Chomuen 25 years old and A 17 years old from Huahin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province were arrested at the house. Both suspects have admitted that they have moved drugs at least 10 times and are known in the drug industry as “Thai Dessert Gang”. When they were arrested the gang was making a new Yaba pill formula by mixing in other drugs. The plan was to introduce this new Yaba out into the market with promises of faster and stronger results. The gang received pay of 10,000-30,000 THB per drug delivery.
The information came from a previous arrest in July 2020 with evidence of 12 Million Yaba pills. The investigation on the case revealed that the home was used as a drug lab to test out new drugs and a warehouse to store drugs before it was delivered to other locations in Thailand. Police inspected the home in Bang Bua Thong where they arrested the suspects and seized the evidence.
