A 20-baht bag of curry in Krabi

THE cost of living may have gone up, but Miss Janya Jangsaeng continues to sell a bag of take-home food for 20 baht (around 60 cents) at the City Market in the municipal area of Krabi province, the Thai-language Daily News reported today (Jan. 7).

“I cook around 20 dishes, including spicy local curries, and they are sold out every day,” she told the newspaper. “The cost of living is high, and this is one way to help other people.”

Her food stall is open from 4 pm to 9 pm. If you have time, there are many interesting local items other than food to buy at the market.
