Big drug dealer arrested in Samut Prakarn
A BIG drug trafficker and two of his accomplices have been arrested in Samut Prakarn and a large amount of narcotics worth 600 million baht seized including 1 million tablets of amphetamines, 400 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) and both crystal and liquid Ketamine, Thai News Agency said today (Oct. 8).
Pol. Gen. Chalermkiat Srivorakan, deputy police commissioner, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chaiwat Ketworachai, assistant police commissioner and Pol. Lt. Gen. Charnthep Sesawej, acting commander of Metropolitan Police, announced that Metropolitan Police Division 8 arrested the big drug dealer, Chatchai Phrapimol, and two of his accomplices in Samut Prakran.
Police waited for Chatchai at a house in Bang Saothong in Samut Prakarn and when he drove up and parked in front of it they searched the vehicle and found 330 kilograms of Ice hidden within it and 1 million tablets of amphetamine in the house.
Upon questioning the three of them confessed that they had smuggled drugs many times and also took police to another house where more Ice and both liquid and crystal Ketamine were found.
The three suspects have been sent to Narcotics Police for further investigation and legal action.
In another drug bust police seized 72,000 amphetamine pills and arrested Pranin Boonwong after getting a tipoff that some drugs are being smuggled on a public van to the south.
Police set up a checkpoint on Kanchanapisek road and found the drug in a van running from Bangkok to Prachuab Khiri Khan hidden in the suspect’s backpack.
