Clever thief pockets five-baht gold chain
A MAN wearing a red T-shirt with blue piping walked away with a five-baht gold chain from a gold shop in Pathum Thani after fooling the attendant by leaving a similar fake one at the counter, Thai News Agency said today (May 8).
The attendant at a gold shop in Tesco Lotus Navanakhon branch in Klong Luang, Pathum Thani, said the thief acted as if he wanted to buy the five-baht weight gold chain but then walked out of the shop leaving behind a similar looking gold chain. However an inspection later revealed it was a fake that he left behind.
Klong Luang police were alerted and are still trying to catch the thief.
