A VILLAGE headman in southern Krabi province and seven members of his family were shot dead by a group of gunmen last night with three others injured and hospitalized, Thai News Agency said today (July 11).
Police rushed to the house of Vorayuth Sanghlang, headman of group 1 villages in Ban Klang subdistrict of Krabi’s Ao Luek district after being informed that many people had been killed and injured there.
Police found eight people including Mr Vorayuth shot dead in the house with three others injured and sent to Ao Luek Hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that around six to seven armed gangsters dressed in camouflage burst into the house and handcuffed and hooded all the residents until midnight when they shot them all and fled.
Police are still working out the motive for this homicide.
