Heavy rain pelts parts of Bangkok
TORRENTIAL rain fell in many parts of Bangkok today (May 8) leading to Lard Phrao and Tao Poon area being flooded, INN News said.
The heavy downpours triggered floods and severe traffic disruptions around Rama 6 and Viphavadi Rangsit roads, Wongsawang intersection leading to Ratchayothin, in front of Union Mall in Lard Phrao and at Tao Poon intersection.
Bangkok’s Department of Drainage and Sewerage said at 1 p.m. that today’s rainfall is of medium to heavy in strength and covers upper Thonburi, inner Bangkok continuing to Huay Kwang, Wang Thonglang, Lard Phrao and Bueng Kum.
