Man stole 10M THB worth of wine now arrested.

Officials from the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) has arrested a man after he ran away with 10 Million THB worth of wine. Pisit 59 years old is wanted by an arrest warrant no. 54/2563 issued by the Nonthaburi Provincial Court on 7 February 2020. He was arrested in Pracha Chuen Bangkok on 19 August 2020. The victim is a wine seller, he was contacted by the suspect in November 2014. Pisit asked to buy wine from the seller before introducing the victim to another woman claiming to be the wife. Pisit advertised the wife to be a highly respected person in society with the ability to help sell the victim’s wine. He then offered to buy all the wine that was in stock during that time with negotiation to buy it at half price in cash. 

 

The victim delivered all the wine to a warehouse in Don Mueang. Pisit stated that this was his warehouse. When the time came to pay Pisit disappeared and could not be contacted. The victim went to the warehouse once again but this time it had been closed down. Officials at the CSD received a complaint on the suspect. They opened up an investigation and finally, officials discovered where Pisit was hiding at 18.30 on 17 August 2020. Information revealed that Pisit was residing at a condo in Bang Sue District. A team was formed to find and arrest the suspect after spotting him in Bangkok. 

 

Officials revealed themselves to Pisit, his identity was confirmed and he was arrested on the spot. After arrest, Pisit has denied all charges and claimed he had nothing to do with the crime. Pisit stated he has no knowledge of such an incident and has solved all issues with the victim. He will be inspected again for more information along with officials showing him the evidence against his case. He has been delivered to the CSD for further prosecution.
