Monk working out at unisex condo gym raises eyebrows
GOING viral in the Thai social media is a video clip of a Buddhist monk working out at a unisex gym within a Bangkok condominium with the Facebook user who posted it questioning whether this is something suitable for a monk to do, INN News reported today (Jan. 31).
Facebook user @Phor Pimsomrudee added a message to the video clip saying that this monk has been working out at this condominium’s gym for 2-3 months now, and it is open for both men and women to use.
He asked those knowledgeable to ascertain whether this is a suitable activity for a monk and whether he is breaking any Buddhist monastic disciplines.
