Mother attempted suicide with daughter, saved by kind uncle
A mother planned to commit suicide on a bridge and was about to throw her young daughter off first, thankfully a good civilian passed by and stopped the mother just in time. She probably had no hope for her life at all, that’s why she came up to the bridge. When I asked, the main reasons were money and family issues. The two live together with no father. Thankfully someone saved the little girl on time because the mother was about to throw her child off the bridge.
Today she might make sense, but what will she become after this. What will the child become, I don’t even want to imagine. I hope she realizes and starts a new life. The child had no idea what was happening, I had tears in my eyes. I hope her relatives come to look after her”. After the post went viral Netizens raised about 120,000 THB to help the mother and daughter. The woman has another child and she will be using this money to take care of the family of 3.
Miss A the woman in the incident stated in an interview with Channel 3 News that she used to work as a security guard for a hospital in Bangkok. Her boyfriend worked as a food delivery driver for a famous application. The had a big fight and the boyfriend left. She has been unemployed for 2 months and is not able to find a new job. She also didn’t qualify for the 5,000 THB assistance from the government.
On the day of the attempted suicide, Miss A had 0 THB on her and a good civilian handed her 100 THB. When she received the money, the woman took a bus to the Memorial Bridge over the Chao Phraya River to end her life. An uncle who happened to walk by at the moment calmed her down and ended up saving the mother and daughter. Miss A realized that there are people who actually care. The police arrived and invited her to the police station for some food. She promises to use the money carefully and to stop thinking about suicide.
