Old uncle held for trying to rape niece
A 61-year-old man was under police investigation this morning (Jan. 8) for allegedly trying to rape his 20-year-old niece in Chachoengsao province, adjoining Bangkok, INN News reported.
Responding to a 191 emergency call, police found the young woman standing near a public phone booth in front of a school not far from her home. She told the police that her uncle tried to rape her several times when other members of the family went to work in the town district.
“I sneaked out this morning, but he followed me and tried to knock me down with his motorcycle,” she told the police. “I screamed out loud to draw the schoolteachers’ attention, and he fled.”
